Scene Around: A Forrestdale ‘Seussical’ Thing

Just a little Rumson entertainment thing to know: Forrestdale School Drama Club kids are getting set for a curtain up on Seussical Jr., the youngsters’ version of Seussical the Musical.

Of course, the show is all about the works of famed children’s book author, Dr. Seuss. And the cast is dressed, going into final dress rehearsal and ready to open on Thursday night.

Rumson Police Report: Assault at Restaurant, Attempted Vehicle Theft

The following January criminal incident and arrest were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incident

  • A Fair Haven Road resident reported on Jan. 23 that two masked people had attempted to gain entry to a vehicle in their driveway. S/O Pignataro took the report.

Arrest

  • Police on Jan. 11 responded to a report of an intoxicated person at a River Road restaurant whom had assaulted staff members and was refusing to leave. Upon arrival, the person reported, Thomas Ridgway, 52, of Rumson, was arrested and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

In Memoriam: Former 180 and Affordable Housing Alliance Board President, Jean Kaeli, 82

Former 180 Turning Lives Around and Affordable Housing Alliance board president Jean Kaeli, of Atlantic Highlands, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31. She was 82.
