Peace out. Patriotism. Well-played play date, kids. They were not crooks and they were no Richard Nixon wannabes. But they were at least budding impersonators. Perhaps. Or just era-inspired posers.
There’s nothing like chilling with the cool kids when you’re a middle schooler. And these Rumson boys knew just how to lead the coolness brigade back in the 1970s at Forrestdale School.
A reprise to warm hearts as the thaw ensues and spring officially hits the air …
Spring is officially here. The weather is warming up. Sort of. People are shedding coats for sweaters and getting out and about a little more each day.
The thaw has started. Call it classic spring fever. And it’s a more feverish fever than ever with the demise of COVID mask mandates and people pulling closer together again. Thoughts of sunny, warm, close spring-is-in-the-air antics are racing through minds, especially those of high schoolers.
A reprise, because, in this weather, there’s no business like snow business …
Snow days due to the recent pandemic time snow-in bring back memories of winters way past. RFHers of yesteryear always found some simple fun pretty fast when the school bell didn’t ring and the fire horn signaled no school.
It’s not every day that a bunch of longtime Fair Haven Knollwood School teachers from the 1970s era get together. It’s one day — for the first time in decades.
