The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners joined the Monmouth County Planning Board to honor seven recipients with 2025 merit awards during a December Planning Board meeting. A passive park on the Shrewsbury River near the new Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge that was planned in Superstorm Sandy’s wake, was one of those projects honored.

New year, new fire department line officers. That’s how it goes. Since the dawn of Rumson, Fair Haven and all towns’ time, reorganization has been a New Year rite of passage.
Well, we know full well that in the rare event auld acquaintance be forgot, there’s always a reminder of what was — and how unforgettable it is. This time the auld acquaintance is among a gaggle of girls who are all still friends from the RFH Class of ’83.
