Well, according to weather forecasts, Saturday’s a washout this weekend, putting off Easter egg hunts pretty much everywhere to either Sunday or next week. As far as at least one indoor event, though, anything goes — literally.
Play ball! It’s baseball season, and that means little league teams are on the field hitting home runs at practice.
Spring has arrived! And despite the bit of a chill in the air, the fever has broken. Warmth and sunnier days are ahead; and what better way to celebrate than with a giant leap and cheer?
Spring is in the air — sort of — and it’s just about batter up time at RFH.
So, on the cusp of spring, our Retro Pic of the (George) Day also commemorates the coming of the baseball season — the warm-up, the game and all.

It rained on their parade. Yes, RFH Drill Team and Marching Band members took a traditional trek to the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade to march back in 1977 and it rained — it poured.
Skeletal remains have been found on a Wall Township property and, as an investigation ensues, authorities advise that the public should stay away from the area and no danger has been posed to the community.
It has been said that to honor someone best who has passed is to craft a remembrance of them as they lived — in all their color, vibrance and black-and-white finite detail. A sketch, a painting, a doodle expressing the intricate beauty within a soul.

Before the parade passed by, VIPs gathered at Val’s and celebrated stepping out into the 11th Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday.
The headline really should just say “The R-FH Area Sunday,” as Sunday seems to be the day for all events R-FH area related.
Sometimes you just find yourself up a puddle without a paddle. And sometimes the way around it, or through it, is by spilling out of a VW bug like a bunch of RFH clowns in a clown car.
There’s nothing like chilling with the cool kids when you’re a middle schooler. And these Rumson boys knew just how to lead the coolness brigade back in the 1970s at Forrestdale School.
