Well, after a lot of warnings and prep, the week’s ones played host to yet another snowstorm that wasn’t. Oh, there was some snow and freeze for a few morning minutes, but it was no Blizzard of ’96 or ’78. Yes, back in the day, there were plenty of snowstorms that actually snowed Rumson-Fair Haven area folks in and left them to their own devices for resorting to fun in the freezing white stuff.
Fair Haven-raised Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) graduate, football player, son, brother, uncle and friend to many, Connor James Riley, passed away on Jan. 15. He was 32.

If you’re winter daydreaming of snow-capped visions of warm paradise memories, your thoughts may drift to the iconic Peninsula House. It’s as if it was still there. Sometimes, if you close your eyes, like any good memory, you can see it. It all comes back — blankets you in a Tsunami of heart smiles.
Former longtime Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Band Director Ken Walters, formerly of West Long Branch, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday morning, Dec. 12. He was 96.

All RFH concerts have singers and players — of the Tower variety.
The RFH Tower Singers sang around the towns over the weekend. And then there are those annual RFH Winter Concerts. The singers sing holiday songs and the players of various RFH instrumental ensembles play. At times, in RFH history, the two did meet to make music together.
Oh, those Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Tower Singers have been singing up a winter storm.
