An area man has been sentenced to an extended term of 10 years in prison in connection with the assault and continued harassment of a female victim after violating a restraining order against him, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

Unofficial Election Results: Koch, Cole Hold GOP Majority on Fair Haven Borough Council

The unofficial votes are in.

With all six districts reporting in Fair Haven and 7,203 votes cast in relatively close race, the Republican incumbent Borough Council candidates Betsy Koch and Tracy Cole won their bid for reelection, keeping the GOP majority on the governing body, according to the vote counts from the Monmouth County Board of Elections by 9:30 p.m..

There’s nothing like playing dress-up and drive-by for Halloween at RFH. 

In the 1970s, students really got ghostly and festive with it all. Costumes were creative. Though, given the era, it was hard to tell if a few were actually costumes or just the outfit of the day. Ah, but, of course these girls were “disguised” as those ’60s, not ’70s, hippies.

In Memoriam: Red Bank-Raised RBC 2014 Grad, Connor Smith, 29

Red Bank-raised Red Bank Catholic High School (RBC) graduate, Connor Richard Smith, more recently of St. Paul, MI, passed away peacefully from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Oct. 18, surrounded by his loving family and closest friends. He was 29.
