Rumson-raised Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Class of ’76 graduate, Julie Slocum Garguilo, more recently of Toms River, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 27. She was 66.

Born in Red Bank, Julie was raised in Rumson. An RFH graduate, she was in the Tower Singers and on the Drill Team.
She later moved to Toms River, where she lived for the last 23 years.
Julie recently retired from Hackensack Meridian Health where she was a mental health social worker for almost 40 years. She also had her own practice and taught part-time throughout her career.
Julie is survived by: her husband, Ronald Garguilo, of Toms River; her son, Joseph, and daughter-in-law Stefanie; two grandchildren, Gianna and Michael Garguilo; and, her sister, Jo-Ann Mazzucca, brother- in-law, Fred, and niece, Michelle.
There will be a celebration of Juile’s life with family and friends in the future.
