As bonafide answers from federal authorities about the origin of hovering drones in New Jersey continue to baffle and elude the residents who have been barraged by sightings, claims and speculation, Fair Haven officials are clearing up some facts and offering the correct reporting methods.
While the answers people want are still not there, some facts outlined in the following released statement from Police Chief Joe McGovern and Mayor Josh Halpern offer information about the flying vessels some may not know or realize.
Most importantly, they warn that people should not take matters into their own hands and shoot the drones out of the sky, or otherwise attempt to deactivate them. That, if done, would be under federal authority only.
