A Monday evening murder that left one man dead is under investigation, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

Last night at 8:56 p.m. in Keansburg, police responded to a 911 call concerning a shooting incident on the 40 block of Carr Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Keansburg Police Department is underway.
