A red-white-and-blue patriotic reprise, just because July 4th is tomorrow …
Peace out. Patriotism. Well-played play date, kids. They were not crooks and they were no Richard Nixon wannabes. But they were at least budding impersonators. Perhaps. Or just era-inspired posers.
Who’s who and what? Well, in Fair Haven, starting at the literal top of the list, the borough’s new administrator, Christopher York, started work on Monday.
Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement and associated roadway construction activity continues this week Monday through Wednesday, weather permitting, with some new advisories concerning roads, summer Shrewsbury River activity and July 4th holiday time off.
At Monday night’s Borough Council meeting, the governing body, friends and family of retiring Fair Haven Borough Administrator Theresa Casagrande gathered for her final meeting and a little send-off.
The folks at Fair Haven Fisk AME Chapel would answer that with an “Amen!” A call for help in sprucing up the chapel that anchors much of Fair Haven’s history, more like its actual roots, was put out and the community heeded it.

Dive in! Sign of the times? The “No Diving” signs are all over the docks. Well, at least the one that’s left in Fair Haven. Yet, a good dive has been known to transcend times and signs.
Sometimes those ’70s RFH graduation memories are not all a blur. They’re crystal clear. In focus. Like this Pomp and Circumstance walk snapshot back in time.
It was a milestone moment met with a lot of cheers and tears. The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Class of 2024 graduated at Monmouth University, this era’s graduation venue tradition, on Friday night.
