Longtime Red Bank resident, Rose Marie “Re” Lister Tomaino passed away “peacefully from natural causes” on Sunday, Nov. 19. She was 90.
Rumson police on Nov. 25 released security camera photos and a statement regarding early morning Nov. 24 “attempted home entries.” They asked that residents remain on high alert for suspicious activity and review security cameras.
Former Fair Haven business owner Irving L. Yaffie, of Brick, passed away on Nov. 16. He was 74.
The holiday and break from Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement work is over; and, construction continues this week on the usual time schedule of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Bow, curtain, mingle and pose. The show time tradition continues for Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Tower Players. After the final show, there’s always a time for lobby cheers, tears and smiles.
That’s what happened with this past weekend’s fall production of The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood. The players played to full houses and took their final bow at the Sunday matinee.
The after-show lobby time? Well, not only did they pose, but, as usual the cast was flanked by flowers, family and friends and, yes, even some Tower Player alumni.

And, RFH PAS reminds all that the spring musical is Anything Goes!
For this one, there was an “interest” meeting on Monday. There will also be mandatory tap workshops from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 29 and Dec. 5. Auditions are set for Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 6 p.m..
In line with the Anything Goes theme song, “times have changed.” Interest in the spring musical was always enthusiastic and highly competitive. Get those tap shoes tapping, players!

Thanksgiving week brings with it an altered construction work schedule for the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement, weather permitting. It calls for two days off this week and hours announced to recommence next week.

And the Monmouth County DWI Task Force is, again, advising designated drivers and ride shares if people choose to partake. The Task Force also has a DWI Checkpoint set for Wednesday night through early Thanksgiving morning.
These DWI checkpoints are publicized in accordance with the law.

But, what about those days when it was about powder puff football, too?There were those days — at least in the late 1970s. And they’re back again with the recent resurgence of the girls’ game. This year, the juniors lost to the seniors.
