The 4th Annual Rally for the Two Rivers Eco-Fest, hosted by Clean Ocean Action (COA) on Saturday at Victory Park was a success, organizers said. Hosted by Clean Ocean Action (COA) and the Rumson Environmental Commission (Rumson EC), the event designed to raise awareness of waterway mindfulness for a healthy environment had about 200 attendees.
A reprise in honor of the culmination of the usual end of the sixth graders’ trip to Stokes State Forrest
It’s all about another stoked for Stokes moment. The year was 1976, and a bunch of girls gathered in their cabin for that classic snapshot of sixth grade bunk mates.
Let’s hear it for the girls! It’s only fair that some RFH girls who knew how to raise a bottle with the best of them get equal first reunion remembrance time.
Well, there’s nothing like a good Memorial Day grilling.
And there’s also nothing like getting your kid to flip those burgers and tend to the grill like a serious party master — like this barbecue scene back from 1974 in Fair Haven.
A reprise, originally posted on June 10, 2021, to honor the best of RFH prom times during prom season …
The colors were deeper, the hair was higher and hemlines, too. The top song was George Michael’s Faith. The year was 1988 and the pre-prom scene for RFHers was the same, yet different.
No one, including pets, was hurt in the raging fire yesterday that destroyed a two-family Fair Haven home and damaged others nearby; but, it has displaced a family.

It’s baaaaack! So here’s a reprise in honor of the upcoming time-honored sixth grade trip to Stokes State Forrest. Take a trip back with us again. Remember?
It’s that time of the year when Fair Haven schools tradition takes hold and all good Knollwood sixth graders go on their trip to Stokes State Forrest. The buses rolled out of town this morning. Two years ago marked the 50th anniversary of the most wonderful time of the year for those sixth graders. Wow.

Cheers to the spring sun, fun and RFH teen weekend warrior times!
Yes, there’s nothing quite like a toast to warmer times retro RFH style! The spring sun is finally out, things are warming up to a summertime temperature and it’s time for a time honored party — or at least a partying spirit.
That’s just what these RFH boys of the 1970s did, and with frequency. There was no major organization or uniforms involved in their free time ball games. It was just a few RFH guys, a ball, some mitts, bats, topsiders and Adidas instead of cleats, some groovin’ 70s clothes and a lot of fun.
