Yes, they got carried away. And why not? There was and is always something to get carried away over at RFH.
This time it’s all about those RFH Bulldogs and cheer for a winning football season! With a now 12-0 record and a final semi-finals win against Point Friday night, the Dawgs are headed to the state finals in December.
And no one lifts the Dawgs on the field more than the cheer squad — however it turns up — and away with kooky enthusiasm.
And back in the 1970s, there were conventional and not-so-conventional cheerleaders. So, the Retro Pic of the (George) Day takes us back to a familiar gaggle of unconventional cheerleading RFH guys. It offers a glimpse back to some comedic pre-game times of the era with that reprised lovely bunch of cheerleaders. Yes, it’s those guys again.
But, hey, their RFH spirit never gets old — even if they’re now headed for the land of the dinosaurs.
One, the reigning homecoming king of this particular powder puff game, was lifted to new heights (or lows) by classmate cheerleaders on this one fine day of inclement weather on (and near) the RFH field.
So, here’s to the home game, the cheering for the game, the win, and, yes, playing some games with buddies at RFH.
Go Bulldogs! Recognize any of these beauties?
Thanks, once again, to the fabulous George Day for this classic glimpse back in RFH time!
