Longtime West Park Rumsonite, former First Aid Squad captain, Mary DeVito Nichols passed away on April 19 in New York City, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80.

Prosecutor: Human Remains Unearthed at Construction Site; ‘No Foul Play’

An initial forensic analysis of human remains discovered during the excavation of a Wall residential construction site in March has indicated that there was no evidence of foul play involved, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago and Wall Township Police Chief Sean O’Halloran jointly announced today.

An area man has been sentenced to 30 years in state prison for killing his father and then hiding the body in the home the men shared, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Friday.

In Memoriam: Lifetime Rumsonite, Writer, Cyclist, Adventurer, Doug Yorke Jr., 72

The world lost one of its most dedicated laughers with the passing of Douglas Arthur Yorke Jr. on April 11. He died peacefully surrounded by his beloved family while in the outstanding care of the trauma team at Jersey Shore Medical Center.” ~ Loved ones of Doug Yorke Jr. in his obituary

A lifetime Rumsonite, Doug was born to Joanne and Doug Yorke on Aug. 20, 1951 and grew up in Rumson, where he would later raise his three children.
