The following November criminal incidents were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- A business owner on Ward Lane called police headquarters on Nov. 22 to report three male juveniles attempting to steal alcoholic beverages from the rear of his establishment. When the owner took the item back, they shoved him and ran off. Patrolman Wrightington took the report.
- A Rumson Road resident called police headquarters on Nov. 17 to report that two juveniles had started a fire next to their fence that was extinguished. Patrols responded and found both juveniles who were transported home. The incident was referred to the juvenile division.
- A resident of Church Street reported on Nov. 12 that their catalytic converter was stolen from their vehicle overnight. Detective Lehner took the report.
- Police responded to a Rumson Road residence on Nov. 2 after receiving a noise complaint about “80-90” juveniles. Upon arrival, police found a large group of juveniles and alcoholic beverage containers visible. Thomas Malone, 63, of Rumson, was issued borough summonses for maintaining a nuisance and providing alcohol to minors.
