DWI Checkpoint Set for Night Before Thanksgiving

The night before Thanksgiving has always been known as the biggest party night of the year. It’s been referred to as Drinksgiving, Blackout Wednesday and Black Wednesday.

Characteristically, people are coming home for the holiday, reuniting and celebrating. And the Monmouth County DWI Task Force is, again, advising designated drivers and ride shares if people choose to partake. The Task Force also has a DWI Checkpoint set for Wednesday night through early Thanksgiving morning.

Friday Night DWI Checkpoint Set

Despite popular belief that DWI checkpoints are for summer, authorities assure that they are not seasonal and still being conducted on a regular basis. In fact, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force has announced one checkpoint for Friday through early Saturday morning.
