Summer is heating up again and so are weekend DWI checkpoints. There will be two in the Rumson-Fair Haven area this weekend, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force announced.
The DWI Checkpoint Details
On Friday, Aug. 16, in Middletown …
Starting at 9 p.m. and running through 1 a.m. on Saturday, vehicles traveling north on Route 35 from Red Bank just into the Navesink section of Middletown, over the Cooper’s Bridge, will be diverted onto Navesink River Road where DWI Task Force members and Middletown police will screen drivers for sobriety.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, in Sea Bright …
Starting at 10 p.m. and running through 2 a.m. on Sunday, all vehicles traveling north on Ocean Avenue (toward Rumson and Sandy Hook) will be diverted into the municipal parking lot where DWI Task Force members and Sea Bright police will screen drivers for sobriety.
