The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a DWI checkpoint at the onset of this weekend, the Task Force announced.

Starting at 10 p.m. on Friday through 2 a.m. on Saturday, all vehicles traveling north on Route 35 will be diverted into the M&T Bank parking lot near Navesink River Road. There, DWI Task Force members and Middletown police will screen drivers for sobriety.
“As always, the County DWI Task Force strongly encourages the use of a designated driver or a ride-sharing option, if someone plans to go out drinking,” a released statement from the DWI Task Force said.
