Yes, they got carried away. And why not? There was and is always something to get carried away over at RFH.
This time it’s all about those RFH Bulldogs and cheer for a winning football season! With a now 12-0 record and a final semi-finals win against Point Friday night, the Dawgs are headed to the state finals in December.
And no one lifts the Dawgs on the field more than the cheer squad — however it turns up — and away with kooky enthusiasm.
Touchdown! Cheer! They’re on a major winning streak. The RFH Bulldogs are going for the football playoff finals in a home game against Wall on Friday night.
Cheers to sunny fall days and classic looks back! The sun is still out and, despite the fall sting in the air, it’s something to cheer about. So, we’re taking you back, once again, to a special crew of RFH cheerleaders — the boys of RFH’s Class of ’78 in an encore of this Oct. 8, 2015 Retro Pic of the (George) Day from two views! Cheers!
The 1977 RFH Powder Puff Football game was a good one that made for some great photo ops.
“Push ’em back. Push ’em back … waaaayyyy back!” We’re not talking football with that. We’re talking the year of that kind of cheer and its leaders — the RFH cheerleaders of the early 1970s.
A reprise of a cheery Retro Pic of the Day, originally posted in September of 2016, in honor of the spirit of football for the pint-and-a-half sized of the Rumson-Fair Haven area …
Can we have a retro cheer for the football season of a pandemic kind ahead?
It may not be football season; but, between all the recent loss, pandemic surge and chill in the air, we could all use a good old fashioned team cheer — shoulder-to-shoulder close.

What would a string of cheerleading for the team pics be without a cap-off of some special cheerleaders leaving the scene of the cheer?
So, the Retro Pic of the (George) Day is a vision — of those crazy 1970s dudes and their “different” idea of cheering for the team and, well, those outfits.
So, here’s to that big cheer for RFH football, champions and, yes, those cheerleaders of the past.
Now, does anyone know who these guys are and whose skirts they’re sporting here?
Many thanks to the one and only George Day for capturing this gem of a look into the RFH past!
