‘Tis the season for an appropriate reprise …
Yes, it’s been a stellar RFH football season. And while the games aren’t always home, those bleachers at Borden Stadium have always been and are still quite sacred — for cheering on the teams and just plain hangin’ out, game or not.
In the spirit of all things sporty and sportsmanlike, everyone knows that RFHers are pretty serious about their good bleacher times.
Touchdown! Cheer! They’re on a major winning streak. The RFH Bulldogs are going for the football playoff finals in a home game against Wall on Friday night.

Their faces are the faces at the core of a close-knit community. Some have passed. Some are still with us. They are cherished. They are veterans.
They were and are neighbors, dads, and just plain friendly faces around the Rumson-Fair Haven area towns.
They served. They fought for freedom.
They lived and still do live their lives with hometown pride, honor and respect. They were, they are founding fathers, friends. They were, they are cornerstones of the sense of community that is the Rumson-Fair Haven area.
The gift of their legacies bears no upscale real estate market value. They passed along a love of country and community that is priceless.
Thank you, on Veterans Day, to the veterans of the area who have passed and those who are still with us. You are cherished, honored.
Take a look at some of their faces and remember the legacy they carry.

Spirit of ’76 captured by the RFH Class of ’76 Photos/RFH Yearbook
Well, with the 2024 presidential election kicking off the week, it seemed only appropriate to continue in that theme with retro RFH photos — class presidents, their teams and even the top administrator.
Why not? If the day fits … And, lest we forget that back in the 1970s, there was a bicentennial for the U.S.A. going on. And there was much making of the year in the theme of RFH festivities and the yearbook.
The RFH Class of ’76, in fact, reprised its own ode to our first president, George Washington, with a mock crossing of, shall we say, McCarter Pond?
