In Memoriam: Former Longtime Rumsonite, Sailor, Teacher, Sandy Huntsman, 88

Former longtime Rumsonite, avid sailor, founder of the Huntsman Yacht Club, dedicated teacher, story and joke teller, wine connoisseur, lover of good a good meal, husband, father and friend to many, Paul A. Huntsman, Jr. (Sandy), passed away on Nov. 26 the Atrium at Navesink Harbor in Red Bank. He was 88.

Rumson Police Report: Theft, Drugs, DUI

The following October arrests were reported by Rumson police.
An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Anthony Goltsch, 40, of Manchester, was arrested on Oct. 13 at police headquarters and charged with theft by failure to make required disposition of property by Detective Donald Schneider.

• Skylar Leventhal, 20, of Asbury Park, was arrested on Oct. 9 in the area of Lakeside Drive and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of CDS paraphernalia by Patrolman Michael Berger.

Gilberto Romero Jimenez, 28, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 4 in the area of Navesink Avenue and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman Stephanie Lehner.

Raymond Waldron, 28, of Massachusetts, was arrested on Oct. 3 in the area of Laurel Lane and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by S/O Christopher Ibarra.

Prosecutor: Owner of Rumson Golden Goose Facing $300K More in Theft Charges

The Rumson jewelry store owner who was charged with theft in September is now facing additional charges after 11 new victims alleging $300,000 more worth of theft came forward to report having been victimized, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni announced on Thursday.

In Memoriam: Rumsonite, Volunteer, Business Women’s Advocate, Mentor, Dorothy T. Bailey, 63

Longtime Rumsonite and volunteer with the borough’s PTO, Education Foundation, Holy Cross and Red Bank’s Lunch Break, Dorothy T. Bailey, lost her five-year fight against cancer on Oct. 3 at New York Tish Hospital. She was 63.

In Memoriam: Rumsonite, Sea Bright Resident, Volunteer, Nurse, Anne W. Lee

Former Rumsonite, Sea Bright resident, volunteer and former substitute nurse at Forrestdale School, Anne Whitney Lee, passed away peacefully on Sept. 29.

Born in Passaic, Anne graduated from Saint Vincent’s Nursing School in New York City, where she was a nurse for a number of years. She lived in Rumson and then Sea Bright, where she and her husband, Timothy Patrick, raised their three daughters.

“Known as a ‘caring mother and beloved friend,’ Anne was very active in her community.  In addition to Nursing at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, she was a member of the Junior League, volunteered at multiple community health and wellness organizations in Monmouth County, and was a substitute Nurse at Forestdale School in Rumson. Anne touched many lives and will be dearly missed by her friends and family. “

Loved ones of Ann Whitney Lee in her obituary

Anne is survived by: her children, Mary Pat Molke and husband Richard, Connie Fox, and Susan Lee; her grandchildren, Krista, Joanna, Richard, Conor, AJ, Brendon, Cody, Alexis, and Whitney; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Caroline and Quincy.

Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Burial will be private.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Family and Children’s Services (FCS) of Monmouth County.
