What would the first weekend in December in the Rumson-Fair Haven area be without tree lightings and Santa visits?
No worries here. The tradition continues, starting Friday night in Fair Haven, at Memorial Park, the corner of River and Fair Haven roads, with Santa stopping over after arriving on the fire truck.
Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick will visit and take pics with the kids as festivities ensue and a holiday stroll, replete with open houses and treats, gets people visiting the business district for some holiday shopping and mingling.
Then, on Sunday at 5 p.m. in Victory Park, Rumson’s traditional tree lighting and Santa visit brings friends and families together for some song and dance with Tim McLoone & the Shirleys and the Deane-Porter Third Grade Chorus.
The usual treats and hot chocolate will be served as people mingle and get into the spirit of the holidays.
See you around the towns!
