Police: Area Teen Arrested on Attempted Sexual Assault Charges; $350K Bail

The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Michael Kiernan, 61, of Monmouth Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on Aug. 13 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin.

He was released pending a court date.

• Jeffrey Rodre, 18, of Chapman Terrace in Middletown, was arrested on Aug. 15 by Patrolman Frank Mazza and charged with simple assault.

He was released pending a court date.

• Edward Gross, 26, of Nautilus Drive in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on Aug. 13 by Detective Albert Scott and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy.

He was released after posting $2,500 bail with a 10 percent option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Paul Ortiz, 52, of Ocean Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Aug. 12 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and possession of crack cocaine.

He was held on $11,000 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Police Report Drug Possession, Assault, DWI Arrests

The following recent arrests were made and reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Antonio Carino-Martinez, 35, of Red Bank, was arrested on Aug. 9 in the area of Herbert Street and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Davion Watkins, 31, of Red Bank, was arrested on Aug. 9  in the area of Leroy Place and charged with obstruction of administration of law, resisting arrest, possession of prescription legend drugs and on a contempt of court charge by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Vincent Cooper, 29, of Hamilton Square, was arrested on Aug. 8 in the area of Riverview Plaza and charged with taking by means of conveyance by Patrolman Dave Smith.

• Felipe Valente-Olivares, 35, of Red Bank, was arrested on Aug. 8 in the area of Washington Street and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Mario Sciacca, 35, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 16 in the area of Bergen Place and charged with burglary and theft by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Osiel Gomez-Garcias, 27, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 12 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto.

Fair Haven Police Report Marijuana Possession, DWI Arrests & Incidents

The following June arrests and incidents were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• A Ridge Road resident reported on June 4 that several hundred dollars were stolen from his vehicle.

Patrolman Dwayne Reevey took the theft report.

• Jeffrey S. Kowal Jr., 19, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 7 following a traffic stop and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphilia, underage possession of alcohol and weapons possession (knife) by Special Officer Class II Brooks Robinson.

Kowal was released pending a court appearance at Fair Haven Municipal Court.

• Zoilo J. Gonzalez III, 26, of Shrewsbury, was arrested on June 7 following a traffic stop and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, speeding and failure to produce a driver’s license by Special Officer Class II Brooks Robinson.

Gonzalez was released pending an appearance at Fair Haven Municipal Court.

• A Fair Haven Road resident reported on June 9 that an unknown subject attempted to have a credit card opened under a fraudulent name using the victim’s address.

Detective Stephen Schneider took the report.

• Peter Delamos, 76, of Fair Haven was stopped on June 19 for a traffic violation and found to have and outstanding traffic warrant out of Ocean Township.

He  was transported to headquarters were bail was paid in full before his release. Special Officer Class II Brooks Robinson was the arresting officer.

• Conor Murphy, 23, of Belford, was arrested on June 19 following a traffic stop and charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana by Patrolman Dwayne Reevey.

Murphy was later released pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• A Clay Street resident reported on June 25 that an unknown subject stole a bicycle out of her driveway the previous evening.

Sgt. Jesse Dykstra took the theft report.

• A Park Lane resident reported on June 30 that his personal bank accounts had several fraudulent withdrawals by an unknown person.

Patrolman John Koetzner took the report.

Police: Sex Offender Jailed, Failed to Register; $40K Bail & More

The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Daniel Swarrow, 21, of Pacific Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on July 8 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia and charged with obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• Joseph Doren, 29, of Hamiltonian Drive in Red Bank, was arrested on July 8 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).

He was released pending a court date.

• Christopher Imlay, 28, of Roma Court in the Lincroft section of Middletown, was arrested on July 12 by Patrolman Michael Pintilie and charged with simple assault.

He was released pending a court date.

• Anthony Cocuzza, 23, of Dibling Street in Union Beach, was arrested on July 12 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook and charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic syringes and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Keansburg Municipal Court.

He was held on $290 bail.

• Rocio Garcia, 42, of Suydam Street in New Brunswick, was arrested on July 12 by Patrolman Michael Heaton and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).

She was released pending a court date.

• Maryam Jrad, 18, of Dartmouth Avenue in Avenel, was arrested on July 11 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood and charged with driving while intoxicated.

She was released pending a court date.

• Gregory Deguttola, 27, of Homestead Avenue in West Long Branch, was arrested on July 10 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with unlawful possession of Oxycodone, unlawful possession of Alprazolam and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released pending a court date.

• Joan Cappadona, 33, of Wilson Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on July 10 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook and charged with shoplifting from the Walgreens Pharmacy.

She was released pending a court date.

• Waymon Young, 38, of West Water Street in Toms River, was  arrested on July 10 by Detective Laurence Schachtel and charged with violation of Megan’s Law for failing to change address and failing to register as a sex offender.

He was held on $40,000 bail.

• John Byrne, 23, of Bucknell Drive in Hazlet, was arrested on July 10 by Patrolman John Walsifer and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).

He was released pending a court date.

• On July 10, Patrolman John Soltysik arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile from Middletown, and charged him with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a false driver’s license.

He was released pending a court date.

• On July 13, Patrolman Brian Dilworth arrested a 15-year-old male juvenile from the Port Monmouth section of Middletown and charged him with simple assault.

He was released pending a court date.

• Richard Murphy, 37, of  Valley Drive in the Navesink section of Middletown, was arrested on July 12 by Patrolman Richard Fulham and charged with simple assault.

• Hugo Cruz, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 5 in the area of Catherine Street and charged with DWI (driving while intoxicated)  by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

• Elezar Garcia-Avendano, 36, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 5 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with DWI (driving while intoxicated) by Patrolman Jorge Torres.

• Tajhi Tomaino, 20, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 3 in the area of Tilton Avenue and charged with obstructing administration of law and resisting arrest by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Mark Scaliti, 48, of Middletown, was arrested on July 3 in the area of Broad Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Ashon Lovick.

• Shaquan Jackson, 23, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on July 2  in the area of S. Pearl Street on a COC (contempt of court) charge by Patrolman George Travostino.

• Edwin Segura, 26, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 2 in the area of Wharf Avenue on a COC (contempt of court) charge by Patrolman John Camarca.

• William Manser, 35, of Ocean, was arrested on July 6 in the area of Riverview Plaza on a COC (contempt of court) charge by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Markies Wells, 29, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 5 in the area of Monmouth Street on a COC (contempt of court) charge by Patrolman Benjamin Springer.

• Kelvin Gonzalez, 23, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 4 in the area of Chestnut Street on a COC (contempt of court) charge by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Tariek Boynton, 25, of Red Bank, was arrested on July 3 in the area of Monmouth Street on a COC (contempt of court) charge by Patrolman Michael Zadlock.

Caution: DWI Checkpoint in Monmouth

Going somewhere and planning on having cocktails? The Monmouth County DWI Task Force advises that you use discretion and not drink over the .08 blood-alcohol limit and drive or appoint a designated sober driver.

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force, in collaboration with the Oceanport Police Department is conducting a DWI checkpoint to determine drivers’ sobriety in Oceanport tonight, July 10, into Sunday morning.

The checkpoint will area will be set up at Fort Monmouth’s 400 area on Oceanport Avenue. Vehicles will be directed from northbound lanes on Oceanport Avenue into the lot from 11 p.m. tonight to 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Rumson Police Make Several DWI Arrests

The following May and June arrests were made and reported by the Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Arrests

• Special Officer Class II Morse arrested Timothy J. Hill, 40, of Little Silver, on May 3 in the area of Rumson and Seven Bridges Road in Little Silver and charged him with DWI (driving while intoxicated). Hill was released pending court.

• Special Officer Class II Morse arrested Lea C. Brantly, 30, of Rumson, on May 10 in the area of the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge and charged her with DWI (driving while intoxicated). She was released pending court.

• Patrolman Lovgren arrested Christopher P. Merker, 23, of Atlantic Highlands, on May 13 on the Oceanic Bridge and charged him with contempt of court (COC). He was released after posting $310 bail.

• Patrolman Torres arrested Julia Concannon, 20, of Shrewsbury, on May 31 in the area of Navesink Avenue and Ridge Road and charged her with DWI (driving while intoxicated). Concannon was released pending court.

• Special Officer Class II Morse arrested Kristy Leight, 33, of Rumson, on June 14 in the area of Rumson Road and Sailor’s Way and charged her with DWI (driving while intoxicated). Leight was released pending court.

• Special Officer Class II Morse arrested Drew Flynn, 40, of Rumson, on June 18 and charged him with DWI (driving while intoxicated) and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. He was released pending court.

• Patrolman Lovgren arrested Robert Piwko, 38, of Jackson, on June 19 and charged him with COC (contempt of court). Piwko was released to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department in lieu of $29,426 bail.

• Patrolman Torres arrested Thomas Cozzens, 26, of Annandale, on June 29 and charged him with DWI (driving while intoxicated).  Cozzens was released pending court.

Marc Pines, 41, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 23 in the area of W. Bergen Place and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto.

• Paulius Delekas, 25, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 22 in the area of Riverside Avenue and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto.

• Mary Treza, 51, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 20 in the area of Water Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Incidents

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on June 15 on West Street. There was a report of a window broken on the outside of a building.

Patrolman Ashon Lovick took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on June 17 at a Washington Street residence. The victim reported that someone threw a small table left out for trash at a parked vehicle and dented it.

Patrolman George Travostino took the report.

Arrests

• Noah Dubuss, 28, and Louie Magnus, 26, both of Red Bank were arrested on June 18 in the area of South Street and charged with disorderly conduct, possession of a CDS (under 50 grams of marijuana) and possession of narcotic paraphernalia by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto and Patrolman George Travostino.

• Caroline Dorsett, 42, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 17 in the area of Pearl Street and charged with harassment by Patrolman John Camarca.

• A 17-year-old male juvenile, of Middletown, was arrested on June 15 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with possession of a CDS (under 50 grams of marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Ashon Lovick.

• Marc Peterson, 30, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 13 in the area of Broad Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman George Travostino.

• Adam Salama, 24, of Hazlet, was arrested on June 13 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of a CDS (hash oil), and possession of narcotic paraphernalia by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto.

• Courtney Rossine, 21, of Lincroft, was arrested on June 12 in the area of W. Front Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

 

Police: Fair Haven Man Jailed on Disorderly Charge & More

The following May arrests and incidents were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Arrests

• Terry Williams, 57, of Fair Haven, was arrested on May 10 and charged with disorderly conduct following a field interview, reference a call for service.

Williams was unable to post bail and was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold, pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

Sgt. Jesse Dykstra was the arresting officer.

• Tracey Lichtig, 42, of Fair Haven, was arrested on May 15 and charged with driving while suspended as a result of a previous DWI conviction.

Special Officer Class II Brooks Robinson was the arresting officer.

• Johnny Morris, 23, of Tinton Falls, was arrested by Cpl. John Waltz on May 27 on an active arrest warrant out of Fair Haven.

Morris was later released after posting bail pending a Fair Haven Municipal Court appearance.

• Veronica Carlisle, 45, of Highlands, was arrested on May 28 and charged with driving while suspended from a previous DWI conviction.

Special Officer Class II Brooks Robinson was the arresting officer.

•Marcelino Trejo, 32, Edison, was arrested on May 3 and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, speeding, refusal to submit to breath samples and driving with an open container of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop.

Sgt. Jesse Dykstra was the arresting officer. Trejo was released pending a court appearance in Fair Haven Municipal Court.

• Omar Azcona, 34, of Trenton, was arrested on May 5 by Sgt. Jesse Dykstra on an active traffic warrant out of Mt. Olive Township after a parking complaint.  Azcona posted full cash bail before his release.

Incidents

• A Battin Road resident reported on May 7 the theft of a wallet from a vehicle in her driveway.

Patrolman Eric Patton took the report.

• A Willow Street resident reported on May 7 that his son’s bicycle was stolen from the front of Knollwood School.

Patrolman Christian Hostrup took the theft report.

• A Lake Avenue resident reported on May 7 that a wallet was stolen from her vehicle.

Patrolman Christian Hostrup took the theft report.

• A Maple Avenue resident reported on May 8 that someone fraudulently used the victim’s credit card.

• Jorge Cheves-Flores, 36, of Long Branch, was arrested on June 9 in the area of E. Front Street and charged with prohibited weapons, possession of a weapon with unlawful purpose by Patrolman John Camarca.

• Robert Vaccarelli, 38, of Bradley Beach, was arrested on June 8  in the area of Maple Avenue and charged with possession of a CDS, under 50 grams of marijuana, by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Edward Moore, 39, of Forked River, was arrested on June 9 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with DWI by Patrolman George Travostino.

• Jennifer Anderson, 23, of Freehold, was arrested on June 8 in the area of Montgomery Terrace and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Cevin Albert.

• Mario Oldani, 26, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 7 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with burglary and theft by Patrolman Ashon Lovick.

• Justin Distiler, 30, of Middletown, was arrested on June 6 in the area of Locust Avenue and charged with defiant trespass by Patrolman Benjamin Springer.

• Rogelio Bodolla-Crespo, 39, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 5 in the area of Chestnut Street and charged with possession of a CDS, cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing administration of law by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Amy Matheny , 45, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 5 in the area of Chestnut Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Daniel Trembley, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 3 in the area of Linden Place and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Michael Zadlock.

• Juan Santamaria-Torres, 39, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 31 in the area of Locust Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Sean Hauschildt.

• Sydney Brown, 38, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 31  in the area of Mechanic Street and charged with obstructing administration of law by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Shawn Garaffa, 33, of Oceanport, was arrested on May 30 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• Michael McCabe, 45, of Round Rock, TX, was arrested on May 30 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Genaro Escalante-Castillo, 23, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 28 in the area of Wallace Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• Roberto Diaz-Romero, 18, of Red Bank, was arrested on May 28 in the area of Wallace Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Thomas Doremus.

• David Hayden, 57, of Brick, was arrested on May 29 in the area of Newman Springs Road and charged with DWI by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Nicolas Vargas, 22, of Asbury Park, was arrested on May 28 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with possession of a CDS, cocaine, and possession of a CDS, under 50 grams of marijuana, and unlawful possession of weapons by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Two male juveniles, both 17, of Red Bank were arrested on May 28 in the area of Linden Place and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Michael Zadlock.
