Another Saturday night and he’s got his buddies. And some sunshine. That’s how the RFH ball, or prom, or just plain dressed-up night or day out rolled back in the 1970s.
We’re not sure if this was a prom shot, senior dinner dance (yes, they had those), or just a night out with RFH guy David Marx and his best girls, Mailis Pustrom, Patann Campi (RIP) and Ellen Slevin. One thing’s for sure, though. A pre-event line-up like this almost always ended in one of those best-of-times nights out in RFH days gone by.
Yes, the days are gone, but a date night like this with a guy and his best girls, or just, really, the best of friends, was the best of all-dressed-up-with-somewhere-to-go times.
And those dress-up teen outfits? Well, they’re just classic. The ol’ three-piece suit and thick tie. The dresses. Get the picture? Of course you do.
Now, where do you think they were headed and which were the prime date night, or friends night out spots in the late 1970s?
We’re not thinking this was the prom. It just may have been a senior dinner dance. Remember those?
The hot spot back then was Shore Casino in Atlantic Highlands for that sort of thing. Then again, they could have been just going out to dance to Tim McLoone and his band at Driftwood or Peninsula House. Guesses?
Party on, RFHers! It’s rainy Saturday night with some toasty good time memories!
