In Memoriam: Longtime Red Bank Resident and Area Musician, Paul Bracco, 75

Longtime Red Bank resident and area musician, Paul Bracco, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on April 18, after fighting a battle with cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. He was 75.

“Born on April 30, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY to Paul and Mary Bracco, Paul was a beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, uncle and friend to many. He worked as an Equity Sales Trader for more than 40 years and was the founder and lead guitarist for The Red Bank Blues Band, a popular group that played many venues along the Jersey Shore for more than 10 years.

“Paul was a devoted father and husband who loved spending time with his family, especially his seven grandchildren. He also relished in performing on stage with his band, and sitting in with all the other groups along the Jersey Shore.”

He is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Maria Bracco; his children, PJ, Nicole and Joseph Bracco; his daughters in-law, Tammy and Theresa Bracco; grandchildren, Joseph and Annabella Bracco, Steven, Matthew and Zak Grady, Joseph and Olivia Bracco; and his sister, Jennifer Sulsenti.

Visitation is set for 4 to 8 p.m. on April 25 at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Funeral services will be held on April 26 at 12:45 p.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank.
