Fair Havenite Louis H. Jacomme, also of Ségus, France, passed away at home surrounded by family on Jan. 28. He was 89.

“Louis was born in Beirut, Lebanon to French parents in diplomatic service. He was a graduate of Lycée St. Louis and École Polytechnique de Paris. He received an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Colorado where he was sent by the French Air Force. He obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, and worked for Philips Electronics Research Laboratory near Paris, France and for 3M.”

He is survived by: his wife, Barbara; son, Christopher, his wife Wendy, and grandchildren William and Mathilde; son William, his wife Cori, and grandchildren Elise and Madeleine; daughter, Elisabeth and grandson Andrew; and daughter Claire and her husband Brian Binaco.
A mass of christian burial was celebrated at the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven.
