Rumson Police Report: DUIs, Fugitive From Justice, Contempt

The following February arrests were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Arrests

  • John McKay, 50, of Newark, was arrested on Feb. 28 in the area of Rumson and Tuxedo roads and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman James Wrightington.
  • Rigoberto Lopez-Lopez, 38, of Red Bank, was arrested on Feb. 28 in the area of Rumson Road and Riverside Drive on a $750 contempt of court warrant by Patrolman James Wrightington.
  • Michael Jordan, 68, of Myrtle Beach, SC, was on Feb. 13 in the area of Rumson Road and Tennis Court Lane and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Sgt. Michael Berger.
  • Kelly Meyer, 42, of High Bridge, was arrested on Feb. 7 in the area of Rumson Road and Belknap Lane on $4,500 worth of contempt of court warrants from four jurisdictions by S/O Logan Keefer.
  • Rafael Tapias-Pena, 25, of Eatontown, was arrested on Feb. 4 in the area of Rumson Road and Bingham Avenue on $1,000 worth of contempt of court warrants from four jurisdictions and a fugitive from justice charge by Patrolman James Camilleri.
