Construction of the new Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge remains on the same 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. work schedule through Friday, weather permitting. Rumson police have advised that …
Due to a water main break at the Goose Neck Bridge on the Oceanport side heading toward Little Silver, Seven Bridges Road in Little Silver is will be closed for the next 10 hours.
Because of the road closure, traffic delays are expected on Rumson Road and into Sea Bright on Ocean Avenue, which will be where traffic is detoured, during the Seven Bridges Road closure.
Please plan your travel accordingly.

Weekly Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge Travel Advisory
In this week’s Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement travel advisory for the area, Monmouth County officials are alerting drivers that they should allow for extra travel time from Monday through Friday, noting the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday.

There will be a DWI checkpoint on Friday night in Sea Bright that will be run earlier than the usual checkpoint hours.
DWI Checkpoint in Monmouth County
There will be a DWI checkpoint in Deal Saturday night through early Sunday morning.
The Monmouth County DWI Task force will have the checkpoint set up at the Deal Casino parking lot on Ocean Avenue in Deal from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., pulling vehicles from northbound lanes into the lot to check drivers’ sobriety, Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator and Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer said.
A Soggy, Flooded West Park, Sea Bright

The Nor’easter remnants have hit the Rumson-Fair Haven area.
And, as predicted and history has shown, the combination of torrential rains, wind and high tides have produced some flooding on Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright and into the low-lying West Park section of Rumson.
In Rumson, Mayor John Ekdahl said in the late morning that “tides are running three feet above normal and is over the bulkhead in parts of West Park and Sea Bright.”
