Fair Haven Police Warn of Phone Scam
From Fair Haven police …
On 05/12 a resident received a phone call from an unknown actor identifying himself as a Fair Haven police officer.
The actor utilizing computer software was able to place the call having a Fair Haven Police telephone line 732-747-0992 show on the caller’s ID.
The actor threatened immediate arrest for an unpaid warrant, specifically requested credit card info for payment over the phone.
*** The Police Department would only send notification (of a warrant) via the mail and doesn’t accept payment via phone.***

Police Nab Alleged Bank Robber, Stalker, Burglar
The following recent arrests were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
• William Baner, 32, of Main Street in the Belford section of Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 12 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
He was released after posting $12,500 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.
• Christopher Gaul, 31, of Main Street in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 12 by Patrolman Adam Colfer and charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released after posting $12,500 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.
• Cameron Wood, 20, of Bay Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on Oct. 13 by Patrolman Jesse Toma and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing the administration of law and eluding arrest.
He was held on $27,500 bail, set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Area Man Arrested on Cocaine Dealing, Weapons Charges; $100K Bail
A press release from Red Bank police:
On Friday morning, the Red Bank Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at a South Pearl Street residence.
The search warrant was issued following a month long investigation by Lt.Robert Clayton into sales of narcotics from the home.
Police charged Marcus A. Rice, 32, of South Pearl Street with: possession of CDS (cocaine), possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a handgun, and possession of a handgun while committing a narcotics offense.
Rice was committed to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail set at $101,500.

Police Arrest Three Locals on Marijuana Growing, Dealing Charges & More
An extensive investigation and execution of a search warrant led to the uncovering of a local marijuana growing operation and drug bust during which three Middletown residents were arrested at their township home.
On July 9, Kenneth Newell, 48, Samuel Hudson, 26, and Nicole Boutiette, 25, all of Carter Avenue in Middletown, were arrested by Middletown police after a search warrant of their home was executed based on evidence of a marijuana growing operation there, according to a Middletown police report.
Newell was charged with: possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of lost or mislaid property, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, unlawful possession of a rifle and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court, the report said.
Hudson was charged with: possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic syringes and unlawful possession of a rifle, according to police.
Boutiette was charged with: possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic syringes and unlawful possession of a weapon, police said in the report.
Newell was held on $5,750 bail; and Hudson and Boutiette were held on $5,000 bail, set by Judge D’Auria.
The warrant execution was a result of an investigation conducted by Officer Adam Colfer.

The following recent arrests on contempt of court charges were made and reported by Middletown police:
• Andrew Melici, 26, of Stephenville Boulevard in Red Bank, was arrested on May 9 by Cpl. Thomas Meckier on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $250 bail.
• Dhruv Patel, 24, of Clifton Avenue in Newark, was arrested on May 8 by Patrolman Nicholas Haines on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $250 bail.
• Nicole Jastrzemski, 40, of Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright, was arrested on May 8 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
She was released after posting $200 bail.
• Michael Ryan, 53, of Cooper Road in Red Bank, was arrested on May 7 by Patrolman Adam Colfer on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Englishtown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $500 bail.
• Jay Lynch, 41, of Ailanthus Lane in Levittown, PA, was arrested on May 7 by Patrolman Michael Heaton on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Red Bank Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $450 bail.
• Jillian Kozzi, 32, of Adams Avenue in Toms River, was arrested on May 7 by Police Officer Tara Stucy on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
She was held on $1,000 bail.
• Jessica Pascalli, 31, of Harvard Street in Red Bank, was arrested on May 8 by Patrolman Ricardo Cruz on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Brick Municipal Court.
She was held on $250 bail.
• Robert Mergel, 22, of Carr Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on May 10 by Patrolman Ricardo Cruz on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was held on $1,000 bail.
• Iveta Dunn, 49, of Vineyard Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on May 11 by Patrolman Adam Colfer on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Old Bridge Municipal Court.
She was held on $828 bail.
• Varashon McQueen, 45, of Main Street in Belford, was arrested on May 12 by Patrolman Michael Heaton on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
She was released after posting $1,000 bail.
• Diana Roth, 20, of Lorillard Avenue in Union Beach, was arrested on May 13 by Patrolman Brian Dilworth on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
She was held on $1,000 bail.
• Ryan Dunn, 33, of Walnut Street in Keyport, was arrested on May 13 by Patrolman Jesse Toma on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was held on $1,000 bail.
• Matthew Isaksen, 22, of Wilson Avenue in Port Monmouth, was arrested on May 16 by Patrolman Brian McGrogan on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $250 bail.
• Robin Fischer, 53, from Barberie Avenue in Highlands, was arrested on May 14 by Patrolman Frank Mazza on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Hazlet Municipal Court.
She was held on $258 bail.
• Zoilo Gonzalez, 26, of Patterson Avenue in Shrewsbury, was arrested on May 14 by Patrolman Antonio Ciccone on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $1,585 bail.
• Jordan Mcaleese, 19, of Manchester Street in Toms River, was arrested on May 14 by Cpl. Thomas Meckier on a contempt of court warrant issued.
He was released after posting $500 bail.
• Kristie Lepard, 24, of Kentucky Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on May 15 by Patrolman Adam Colfer on contempt of court warrants issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court.
She was held on $9, 235.39 bail.
• Nicholas Gough, 22, of Church Street in Belford, was arrested on May 18 by Patrolman Greg Buhowski on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $951 bail.
• Patti Hoverson, 27, of Park Avenue in Belford, was arrested on May 18 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis on contempt of court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
She was released after posting $1,000 bail.
• Jon Morgan, 25, of Seabreeze Avenue in Middletown,was arrested on May 17 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $5,000 bail.
• Mark Gorski, 52, of Ravine Drive in Matawan, was arrested on May 19 by Patrolman John Walsifer on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.
He was released after posting $500 bail.

Police: Local Man Arrested, on Heroin Dealing, Possession Charges; $41.5K Bail
An area man is being held in jail on heroin dealing and possession charges.
Ronald Scott Newell Jr., 47, of Route 36 in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on April 28, by Middletown police officers Stephen Greenwood and Thomas Hughes of the Anti Crime Unit, and charged with: possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin within 500 feet of a public park, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe, a release from Middletown police said.
The arrest came after an investigation by Middletown police into alleged narcotics activity, police said.
Newell was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold.

The following recent criminal incidents and arrest were reported by the Shrewsbury police:
Incidents
• A shoplifting of $1,176 worth of merchandise from Anthropologie on Broad Street was reported on March 29.
Patrolman Tracy Polk is investigating.
• A shoplifting of $439. 80 worth of merchandise from Staples on Broad Street was reported on March 31.
Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.
Arrest
• Jay D. Patten, 35. of Red Bank, was arrested on April 2 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle by Patrolman Tracy Polk.
