The stage is getting set for the RFH Tower Players’ fall production of Nutcracker; and, there’s a need for some techie help in set construction. 

Yes, it’s a tough job, and those who have to do it love to do it. The need is just greater than past years for some tech crew help.

Retro RFH Presidential Spirit of ’76

Well, with the 2024 presidential election kicking off the week, it seemed only appropriate to continue in that theme with retro RFH photos — class presidents, their teams and even the top administrator.

Why not? If the day fits … And, lest we forget that back in the 1970s, there was a bicentennial for the U.S.A. going on. And there was much making of the year in the theme of RFH festivities and the yearbook.

The RFH Class of ’76, in fact, reprised its own ode to our first president, George Washington, with a mock crossing of, shall we say, McCarter Pond?

Prosecutor: Area Man Gets Extended 10-Year Prison Sentence for Witness Tampering/Harassment in Domestic Violence Case

An area man has been sentenced to an extended term of 10 years in prison in connection with the assault and continued harassment of a female victim after violating a restraining order against him, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

Unofficial Election Results: Koch, Cole Hold GOP Majority on Fair Haven Borough Council

The unofficial votes are in.

With all six districts reporting in Fair Haven and 7,203 votes cast in relatively close race, the Republican incumbent Borough Council candidates Betsy Koch and Tracy Cole won their bid for reelection, keeping the GOP majority on the governing body, according to the vote counts from the Monmouth County Board of Elections by 9:30 p.m..

So, a karate kid, a baseball player, a cop, two witches, a vampire and a boxer walk onto a school stage …

That means only one thing. It’s Halloween and it’s school pageant time — or whatever they call it. Yes, it’s that time when all the little guys and ghouls in school get dressed up and parade through the classroom, down the hall and into the auditorium for a spooky show of Halloween spirit.
