In this week’s Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement travel advisory for the area, Monmouth County officials are alerting drivers that they should allow for extra travel time from Monday through Friday, noting the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday.

- The eastbound lane of Rumson Road will be closed during those hours. Traffic will be alternated in the westbound lane during that time.

On Friday from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m., concrete will be poured for another bridge pier footing, affecting Ocean Avenue, Rumson Road and the intersections of Rumson Road, Ward Avenue, S. Ward Avenue and Old Rumson Road. This means …
- The contractor will begin work at 4 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m., weather permitting. The rain date for work is Monday, March 27.
- Between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., concrete trucks will be arriving via Route 36, crossing the bridge to Rumson, and turning around in the intersection at Ward Avenue/S. Ward Avenue/Old Rumson Road.
- The trucks will be queued behind the West Park construction barrels on Rumson Road. The northbound shoulder of Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright will be closed to hold queue overflow.
