Dr. Frank Bonifacio, of Rumson, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 21. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Frank grew up in Keyport.

He will forever be remembered for his brilliant mind, passion for medicine and for the love of his life, Marion. Frank leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love, integrity, and passion demonstrated by his 61-year marriage to his soul mate, Marion who he was able to travel the world with and raise their two sons.

Memorial Set for Longtime Fair Havenite & Volunteer, Nancy Drake

A memorial has been set for longtime Fair Havenite Nancy Badt Drake on what would have been her 89th birthday, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A service will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Nancy passed away on Nov. 7 at Brandywine Assisted Living in Shrewsbury.

In Memorium: Former Rumson & Fair Haven Resident, Mary Jane Barron

Former Rumson and Fair Haven resident Mary Jane Barron died of natural causes on Nov. 6.

A longtime member of St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church in Rumson, she was the first woman to have been elected warden of the church, her obituary said. In addition to being very active in the church, she was known to love spending time on the beach in Sea Bright, playing bridge and tennis and gardening.

Remembrance: Fair Haven’s Rudy Garcia

Another Fair Haven dad, husband, neighbor and friend has passed away.

Longtime Fair Havenite and Korean War veteran Adolph S. “Rudy”  Garcia, known to many as a loving husband and father, world traveler and kind friend, “passed gracefully and peacefully from this Earth” on Oct. 20, his family said. He was 88.

In Memorium: Longtime Rumsonite Pat Martin, 80

Longtime Rumsonite Patience “Pat” Martin passed away on Sept. 7 surrounded by her five loving children. She was 80.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Pat’s family moved to Rumson at a young age. There, she lived most other life, having spent much time in Manchester, VT, skiing with family. She retired to Vero Beach, FL with her husband, Donal. Pat moved to Rumson, where she lived most of her life.  She spent a fair amount of time in Manchester, VT, skiing with her family and retired to Vero Beach, FL with her husband, Donal. She returned home to Rumson for her final journey, her loved ones said in her obituary.

Having graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School as a valedictorian, Pat attended Dickinson College in Pennsylvania and and studied Shakespeare at Brookdale Community College.

In Memorium: Longtime Rumsonite, WWII Vet, Howard Heinsius

Longtime former Rumsonite and World War II vet Howard Heinsius has passed away. He was 94. A memorial service has been set for 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. George’s-by-the-River church in Rumson where was a devoted and long-time member having served on the vestry and as a warden and member of the choir.
