In the race for the three seats that are up for grabs on Fair Haven Borough Council, six candidates are vying for the wins. Three are Republicans. Three are newcomer Democrats.

Of the three Democrats running, one is a Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) graduate and a native Fair Havenite who came back home to live.

Focus: Favorite Halloween Haunts

It’s beginning to look a lot like Halloween. That’s because it is.

So, everywhere in the Rumson-Fair Haven area there are reminders of the spooky season. Over the years, people have outdone decorations of the past and, in some cases, never managed to measure up to those unforgettable houses many of us visited as a kid.

Memorial Set for Former Fair Havenite Madge Breeden, 82

Former longtime Fair Havenite Madge (Wolcott) Breeden passed away, surrounded by family, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick on Oct. 15. She was 82.

Former Fair Haven neighbors and friends flooded Facebook with condolences and memories of the Dartmouth Avenue mom and her family from back in the day.

Fair Haven School Officials on Accident: Stop Social Media Commentary

An accident on Hance Road in Fair Haven today involving a Knollwood school student and a vehicle prompted a flood of social media speculation and commentary.

While school officials and emergency response authorities said they are cognizant that all in the community are concerned, the comments generated on Facebook caused too much of a stir and a spread of misinformation before the facts are available from the proper sources.
