The following criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• A burglary at Rumson Pharmacy was reported on Oct. 31. Patrols responded to the pharmacy at 4:27 a.m. due to a commercial burglar alarm. Upon arrival, police found broken glass and determined that the business had been burglarized.
Detective Donald Schneider is investigating.
• A vehicle theft at a Ridge Road residence was reported on Oct. 14. A resident of the home contacted police headquarters to report their vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight.

• An attempted burglary at a Ridge Road home was reported on Oct. 12. A resident called police to report that two men attempted to break into his home. Police responded and reported the alleged burglars were gone (GOA). While investigating, police also responded to a burglar alarm at a Dogwood Lane residence. It appeared someone had tampered with a window and had abandoned a vehicle stolen out of Jersey City.
Patrolman James Camilleri took the report and Detective Donald Schneider is investigating.
• Newark police contacted Rumson police on Oct. 4 to report that they recovered a vehicle stolen from a resident of Park Avenue. Police responded and advised that the resident was unaware the vehicle had been stolen. While on scene, patrols found an abandoned vehicle that had been stolen out of Irvington.
Patrolman Joseph Strohmenger took the report.
Arrests
• Police responded to a Belknap Lane home on Oct. 28 after receiving reports of a loud juvenile party with an active assault in progress. At the scene, police found a large amount of juveniles running around. Discarded alcohol containers were found. It was later determined that two male juveniles had been assaulted by another juvenile. The 16-year-old male accused of the assaults was charged with two counts of aggravated assault through the Juvenile Justice system. Kimberly Giblin, 47, of Rumson, was issued a summons for maintaining a nuisance.
• Andrew Khatri, 44, of Rumson, was arrested in the area of Avenue of Two Rivers and Blossom Road on Oct. 14 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman James Camilleri.
• Omar Oropezadiego, 29, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Rumson Road and Vista Lane and charged with contempt of court by Patrolman James Camilleri.
