Rumson-raised Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Class of 1984 graduate Matthew Edward George Ross passed away suddenly in October. He was 57.

30 years as a school teacher. “
At RFH, Mat ran track. After graduation, he spent 30 years, from 1988 until 2018, as a “patient educator to hundreds of students” in Los Angeles, CA. He was also an accountant; and, later in life became a rabbi.
Mat is survived by: his beloved children, Tova Morrison, David Ross, and Chana Ben-Abraham; five grandchildren; and his older sister, Rossi.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Baron Hirsch Cemetery, 1126 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314.
