In Memoriam: Longtime Rumson Resident, Adele Meny, 89

Longtime Rumson resident Adele Meny passed away on June 15 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.

Adele moved to Rumson in 2004 and was a communicant at Holy Cross Church. “Her faith was strong and she devoted time to faith formation and the rosary group.” She was also a member of the Little Silver Woman’s club for several years.

“Adele was a devoted mother and Nana, she cherished her family above everything. She enjoyed travelling especially to Europe and Mexico. Shopping and a good Scotch old-fashioned were her only vices. Adele was a strong woman who never hesitated to give her candid opinion but always offered solid advice. She exhibited an excellent work ethic and encouraged her daughters to do the same. Adele was a sunworshipper, especially at Ship Ahoy Beach Club and loved living at the Jersey shore with her devoted family. Adele will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially the Customer Service agents at QVC Shopping Network.”
