Lifelong Rumsonite Mary M. Hunter passed away peacefully at Bayside Manor in Keansburg. She was 76.

She is missed for the little things that matter, such as “daily coffee and bagel talks,” the people at Butler’s said, her “smart remarks,” a friend said. Mostly, kindness was the word used to describe what most saw as a true, unassuming Rumson townie.

Mary is predeceased by her siblings, Robert and Alexander Jr.
She is survived by: her loving nieces and nephew, Kathy, AJ and Maggie Hunter and Liz and Scott Flock; and her grand-nieces and nephews, Anna, Casey, James, Noah and Ewan Hunter and Shane and Jaxon Flock.
A visitation will be held at St. George’s Episcopal Church, Rumson, on Wednesday, July 28, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. A memorial service will begin at 11:30 in the church’s garden. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Mary’s memory to St. George’s by the River Episcopal Church, 7 Lincoln Ave., Rumson, NJ 07760.
