“Josephine married the love of her life, Joseph Mandrick, on June 4, 1949 and they enjoyed many happy years together in Union City, Ridgefield Park, and Long Branch until he passed away on April 2, 2013. Josephine displayed endless faith in God and great love for her family.

She was also a gifted singer and sketch artist and cooked a mean lasagna.”
Josephine is survived by: her daughter Mary Ann Kampfe and her “favorite” son-in-law, John; grandchildren, Gregory and Veronica; her devoted brother, Gabriel (Gabe) D’Annunzio and dear sister-in-law Anna (Ann) D’Annunzio.
Also mourning her loss are many loving and devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Josephine will be greatly missed by members of the extended Kampfe family — with whom she shares so many cherished memories —and by the dear friends she made at HMH Nursing and Rehabilitation in Red Bank, where she resided since 2017 and was
cared for beautifully by all.
The family would like to thank the staff at HMH Red Bank and HMH Hospice for compassionate care, devotion,
friendship and support.
Josephine’s life was celebrated at a service today at John E. Day Funeral Home. Burial was private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated by Josephine and her family.
