Focus: River Walk View & Red Flag Weather

The Rumson-Fair Haven area has been cold-snapped out of spring fever.

After a little seedling bloom of spring weather last week, the forecast for this week put a bit of a chill and flash of hazard back into the outlook. And it looks like temperatures will only reach a highs in the 40s with chances of rain in the mix.

What the National Weather Service dubbed a red flag warning culminated yesterday in a brush fire further south in Lakewood. The warning stands today until 5 p.m. for the Rumson-Fair Haven area and all of New Jersey.

Check out the details below.

Gusts aside, the warmth of a Sunday river walk along the Navesink in Fair Haven is sure to do any body good. Some things never change. And that’s nothing but good when serenity is somehow always perched on the river’s horizon at home where river rats thrive.

Take a look. Take it all in and exhale. Slowly. River viewers and walkers always find a place to hold these morsels of “Ahhhh.”

Enjoy the view (and don’t forget to click to enlarge and scroll).
