Red Bank-raised Elizabeth Prominski Orzechowski passed away quietly on April 1. She was 94.

“Born in New Brunswick in July of 1930, Elizabeth moved to Red Bank at the age of 6. She was a graduate of Red Bank Regional High School (RBR). After high school, Elizabeth attended Payne Hall and Monmouth College, obtaining her certification in Medical Technology. She went on to pursue a career as a Medical Technologist, ultimately retiring from Lab Corp. Elizabeth was a member of the Catholic daughters of America for many years and served as Past Regent. She was an active member of the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven.”
Elizabeth is predeceased by: her husband, Edward Orzechowski; her son, John Peter (J.P.) Orzechowski; her parents, Marie and Peter Prominski; and her brother, Peter B. Prominski.
Elizabeth is survived by: her son, Paul Orzechowski and his wife, Mary Ann; her daughter, Marianne Breitenbruck, and her husband, Corey; her grandchildren, Emily Snyder, and fiancé Paul Valentine, Paul E Orzechowski Jr., Corey E. Breitenbruck and his spouse Jess, Noel Rivera, and Travis Breitenbruck and his fiancée Kimber; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. at Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven, followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
