Halloween haunts have long been the ultimate treat for Rumson-Fair Haven area folks.
The front yard and whole house displays have evolved, expanded and gotten more spooky, kooky and just plain “ooky,” as the classic Addams Family theme goes.
And, like the classic credo of the vintage Halloween television family, something else is as retro as it gets when it comes to decorations — the ol’ Sunday drive to scope them out. Actually, it doesn’t have to be on a Sunday, but tradition tells the tale of many brake slam-worthy decorations, especially of the Halloween kind.
So, in the spirit of the altogether “ooky,” we’re reminding you of some of those brake-slammers seen on those “Sunday drives.”
Of course, you shouldn’t try the slam at home, but … Your favorite? Which of these haunters is most likely to come to life and wreak some havoc tonight on Mischief Night?
Scared o’ them! See you around the towns on Halloween!
