It’s still summer and DWI checkpoints have been set up nearly every weekend in Monmouth County. This weekend is no exception.
However, rather than two, there will be one DWI checkpoint running from Friday night through Saturday morning.
The checkpoints are publicized in accordance with the law.

From 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, vehicles headed northbound on Route 35 will be diverted into the Sunoco parking lot. There, drivers will be screened for sobriety by Monmouth County DWI Task Force members and Neptune City police.
