Prosecutor: State Trooper Charged with Attempted Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old

A New Jersey State Police Trooper has been charged with attempting to arrange a sexual encounter and obtain sexually graphic images from a child, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

Lifetime Red Bank resident Vincent J. Soviero III “peacefully left his body surrounded by his family” on Dec. 3 after experiencing a heart attack nearly two weeks prior. He was 78.
