The following August criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
- A resident reported on Aug. 26 that multiple financial accounts were fraudulently opened in his name. Sgt. Donald Schneider took the report
- A building contractor on Aug. 19 reported the theft of a miter saw, valued at $650, and sheets of copper, valued at $750, from a job site on Club Way. S/O Michael Traina took the report.
Arrests
- David Gulley, 75, of Florida, was arrested in the area of Ridge Road and Avenue of Two Rivers on Aug. 22 and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct by Patrolman James Camilleri .
- Juan Leal, 33, of Paterson, was arrested in the area of Ridge and River roads on Aug. 4 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman James Camilleri.
- Maxx K Harar 21, of Maryland, was arrested in the area of Rumson Road and Waterman Avenue on Aug. 4 and charged with defiant trespass and criminal mischief by Detective Stephanie Lehner.
