An early morning Sunday shooting in the West End section of Long Branch is being investigated by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and Long Branch police, a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office said.

The shooting, the statement said, took place at about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 outside on Brighton Avenue between Ocean Boulevard and Second Avenue.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available, the statement added.
