Red Bank resident and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) graduate Barbara Joan Gallagher Bogart passed away on Monday, Dec. 6 at Riverview Medical Center. She was 76.
Born in 1945 in Hoboken to James and Rosemary Gallagher, the family moved to Rumson and Barbara graduated from RFH. She remained lifelong friends with her former spouse, Joseph C. Bogart.
Barbara spent two decades as Office Manager for two medical practices: Dr. Morris in Lincroft and Dr. Granet in Eatontown. She touched the lives of hundreds of patients who recognized her hard work and appreciated her professionalism. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary for NJ Bell, before taking time to raise her two sons.
Barbara is survived by her son, Joseph J., of Beacon, NY, her granddaughters, Clara and Molly, her brother, James Gallagher, of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by: her son, Jeffrey F. (2017); and her sisters, Beverly O’Rourke (2010) and Rosemary Gaynor (2019).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 12 at the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, from 4 to 7 p.m.. Masks will be required of all attending.
