In Memoriam: Monmouth Beach-Raised Emme Rempel, 29

Monmouth Beach-raised Emerald “Emme” Anne Rempel passed away on July 31 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 29.

“Emme was smart, stunning, and loyal. The beloved daughter, sister, niece, godmother, and friend was born in Hackensack and raised in Monmouth Beach — a community she loved, especially the summer beach days, the annual Fireman’s Fair, and Lighthouse Ice Cream — Emme enjoyed a beautiful, full life growing up.

“A graduate of Shore Regional High School, Emme was active in the school’s theater program and a proud member of the cheerleading team. After discovering crew through Navesink River Rowing, she went on to row competitively at the University of Miami, where she earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees. While at Miami, she was also a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.

“She later made a home for herself in New York City, a place that mirrored her dynamic energy, creativity, and unstoppable spirit. There, she began her career at FOX Business Network.

“Adventurous and always on the go, she loved dancing, singing, traveling, snowboarding, attending every concert she could, along with music festivals. Last year, she made it to London for the concert of her lifetime. And we can’t forget her love for the famous Boots, her beloved cat.

“To know Emme was to know someone who embraced life fully and made every moment count — always keeping her calendar completely full with outings, activities, and dinners with her friends and family.”
