The new Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge is fully open to both motorists and pedestrians. Monmouth County officials advise, though, that there are still some final roadway and sidewalk work being done as well as new traffic patterns.
Here’s some views of the bridge from Fair Havenite and R-FH Retro photo contributor Nick Lenczyk …
On the roadways and sidewalks surrounding and on the bridge …
- Delays are possible due to signal, roadway, and striping work.
- Motorists and pedestrians should be aware of new traffic patterns associated with the new bridge.
- Construction vehicles will continue to enter and exit the work areas on Rumson Road in Rumson and on Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright.
On the Shrewsbury River waterway …
- Normal bridge operations are expected at all times.
- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has jurisdiction over the navigational channel. USCG may grant permission for partial closures of the channel and/or for temporary deviation from normal drawbridge operations. Monmouth County must comply with instructions from USCG.
