In Memoriam: Longtime Red Bank Resident, Remo Di Blasio, 88

Longtime Red Bank resident, Remo Di Blasio, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 23, surrounded by family. He was 88.

“Remo enjoyed gardening, riding his bike, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and his many friends.

Born in Silvi (Teramo), Italy to the late Guglielmo and Bruna Di Blasio, Remo lived in Red Bank for 58 years. Remo was a talented and accomplished Master Tailor, and excellent pattern maker who worked at LaSport in Neptune for sixteen years, from 1966 to 1982, continuing his talented and sought-after skills working for many shops in NJ.”

Remo is survived by: his loving wife of 59 years, Leda (De Sanctis) Di Blasio; three children, William Di Blasio and his wife, Catalina, Daria Musselman and her husband, John, and Lisa Copeman and her husband, John; four siblings, Pasquale, Vincenzo, Giancarlo and Antonietta; and four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Kevin, Daniel and Angelina.  

A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Red Bank. Interment to immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
