Former longtime Red Bank resident and Red Bank High School graduate, Gloria Soldo, more recently of the Lincroft section of Middletown, passed away on Feb. 2. She was 92.

She was born May 24, 1932 to Anthony Codispoti and Teresa Piroso in Sant’ Andrea, Calabria, Italy.
She moved to Red Bank in 1935 and graduated from what was then Red Bank High School.

“Gloria married Frank P. Soldo Jr. in 1955 and celebrated 65 years of marriage. Gloria, as well as being a cherishing mother of two boys, worked as a legal secretary. She was devoted to the Roman Catholic Church and was active in St. Catharine’s Church of Holmdel, providing parishioners donuts and warm coffee each month. Gloria enjoyed her days canning tomatoes with her mother, shopping, and doting on her three grandsons. Gloria was an extremely social person who always strived to look her best.

Gloria is survived by: her sister, Victoria Ciambrone; her son, Paul along with his three grandsons, Tyler, Davis, Logan and daughter-in-law Danielle; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by: her husband, Frank P. Soldo Jr.; her first son, Frank P Soldo III; and brother, Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A mass of christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 9:15 a.m. St. Catharine’s Church, 108 Middletown Rd., Holmdel. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Church of St. Catharine in memory of Gloria.
